Yep – it’s 5 Minute Photoshop time.

Duotone.  Or, rather, “fake” duotone in Photoshop is another beautiful manual process bastardized and digitized by Photoshop.  But I’ll admit, it can look good and it’s fast [and I hate Photoshop time!]
This video Photoshop tutorial shows you how to quickly apply DUOTONE presets to black and white photos to add some depth, character, and interesting contrast changes.

The photo in this video tutorial was taken with a Canon 60D and the Zeiss ZE Makro Planar T* 50mm f/2 – wide open in daylight.  Yep.  I did it.

Ken Rockwell doesn’t use Duotones.  All of his photos are Infinitytones.
